Barrett MRAD Mk22 .338 Norma Magnum.
There are no two ways about it: Barrett's MRAD sniper rifle is a great precision gun. It's reliable, it's customizable, and you can easily tear it down and even change its caliber. It may be a little heavy and more than a little pricey. But for the quality, the accuracy, and its ease of use, it is well worth it.
This gun
comes in different calibers:
338 Lapua Mag
338 Norma
Mag
300 Norma Mag
300 PRC
300 Win Mag
308
Winchester
6.5 Creedmoor
First of all, not all caliber-changing rifles are created equal. The Barrett MRAD is great because switching caliber is actually easy. Just loosen two Torx screws, remove and swap barrels, change out the bolt, and re-tighten the screws. No headspace checks or gauges are necessary.

OKAY! Now the .338 Norma Magnum cartridge!
I had numerous emails about this since "Stray Cats Hunt in Darkness," Where Darya first used the Barrett to take out "The Boss." In both "Stay Cats Hunt in Darkness," and now in "Desert Rose," I never indicated that the projectile fired from the Barrett was a .416. It was a .338 projectile dispensed from a .416 Rigby casing.

I do hope
this will bring some clarity. Also, this info is "Public Domain"

I do hope that this will bring more clarity to the use of the Barrett MRAD .338 Norma Magnum rifle in both stories.
